Consultancy for the Realization of the Integrated Evaluation Study of the Project "Strengthening Sustainable Value Chains in the Amazon - PRS Amazonia" (BR-T1462)

Description

The Inter-American Development Bank invites consulting firms to submit their Expression of Interest to carry out an integrated evaluation study of the Low Carbon Agriculture Project in the Amazon (ABC Amazônia), with the aim of analyzing its socioeconomic and environmental results, as well as its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability.

The consultancy includes the following activities:

1. Quantitative impact evaluation: Final surveys were carried out on 544 households, comparing beneficiaries and control groups using quasi-experimental methodologies to measure changes in productivity, income and adoption of sustainable practices.

2. Qualitative evaluation: Development of semi-structured interviews and at least 14 focus groups to analyze results, beneficiaries' experiences, participation of women and indigenous communities, and lessons learned.

3. Environmental assessment: Analysis of changes in vegetation cover using geospatial data and integration of greenhouse gas emission reduction estimates.

4. Economic analysis and sustainability: Ex-post assessment of costs and benefits, risks and continuity of results, including recommendations for future interventions.

5. Expected outputs: Quantitative and qualitative databases, evaluation reports and a final integrated report in Portuguese and English.
