Description
The Republic of Guatemala has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Infrastructure Program for Rural Electrification in Guatemala. The National Institute of Electrification (INDE), as the executing agency, is calling for this international tender with the aim of expanding electricity coverage in rural areas that are difficult to access, improving the quality of life and economic opportunities of the benefited communities.
The project consists of the construction of medium and low voltage power distribution networks, covering multiple municipalities in the departments with the largest electrification gaps. The work has been divided into three strategic lots to optimise logistics and ensure compliance with the execution deadlines, estimated at 10 months per lot.
The tender is divided into the following lots:
Lot 1: Interventions in the municipalities of Nentón and Cuilco (Huehuetenango) and Cobán (Alta Verapaz).
Lot 2: Works in the municipalities of San Pedro Carchá, Raxruhá and Fray Bartolomé de las Casas (Alta Verapaz).
Lot 3: Projects in Cobán and San Juan Chamelco (Alta Verapaz), Rabinal (Baja Verapaz) and Chicamán (Quiché).
Bidding is governed by International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures. Interested bidders can obtain the bidding documents through the Guatecompras portal (NOG 29877962). It is mandatory that all bids submitted include a Bid Maintenance Statement and meet the technical and financial qualification criteria detailed in the rules.
