Analyzing and Supporting the Development of Sector Manuals for Guiding IDB CLIMA Operations in the Education and Housing and Urban Development Sectors

Description

The Inter-American Development Bank invites consulting firms to submit their Expression of Interest to support the development of sectoral manuals to guide the integration of climate and biodiversity considerations into IDB CLIMA operations and other Bank interventions in the education and housing and urban development sectors.

1. Review of strategies and good practices

Analyze IDB institutional documents, international frameworks, and relevant experiences on green transition, climate finance, adaptation, and resilience.

2. Diagnosis and consultations with key stakeholders

Conduct interviews with IDB specialists and institutional counterparts to identify challenges, needs, and opportunities for climate integration in both sectors.

3. Preparation of sectoral manuals

Develop guidelines for the design of IDB CLIMA projects, including operational criteria, integration of biodiversity, performance indicators (KPIs), and tools to assess adaptation and resilience.

4. Validation and transfer of knowledge

Organize working sessions with IDB specialists, incorporate their recommendations, and prepare final manuals, executive summaries, and presentation materials for training.
