Acquisition of radios to modernize and strengthen the radio communications system of the Honduran National Police

Honduras, through the Secretariat of State in the Office of Security, has financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the "Program for the Comprehensive Modernization and Professionalization of the Services of the National Police of Honduras." This call for International Public Bidding (LPI) invites eligible bidders to submit closed proposals for the technological strengthening of the police institution.

Scope of supply
Main objective: Acquisition of radio communication equipment (radios) aimed at modernizing, expanding and strengthening the communications system of the Honduran National Police.

Qualification Requirements and Conditions
Regulatory framework: The process is carried out in accordance with the International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures provided for in the IDB's Policies for the Acquisition of Works and Goods.

Evaluation criteria: Demonstration of eligibility, solid financial capacity, as well as experience and technical capacity in the provision of telecommunications systems or similar technology.

Margin of preference: No type of advantage or margin of economic preference will be granted to national contractors or consortia (APCA).

Required guarantee: It is mandatory to attach the Bid Maintenance Statement to the proposal.

Management and submission of bids
Access to the rules: The bidding documents in Spanish are available for consultation and download on the official website of HonduCompras (www.honducompras.gob.hn) or by requesting them directly from the Program Coordinating Unit (UCP) via email.

Delivery modality: Bids must be delivered physically and in a sealed envelope to the offices of the UCP of the Secretariat of Security in Comayagüela. Electronic bids will not be allowed and late submissions will be rejected. The public opening will be held in person with the option of online attendance.
