Acquisition of computer equipment for the IDB Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Education

The Republic of El Salvador, through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT), has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Program for the Improvement of Educational Quality and Coverage: Born, Grow, Learn. Under this framework, eligible bidders are invited to provide technological tools aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of the Project Management Unit, ensuring efficient management of educational resources in the country.

Scope of supply
The tender includes the acquisition of computer equipment and collaborative technology distributed in the following lots:

Lot 1: High-End Laptops: Supply of 27 units designed for high professional performance.

Lot 2: Interactive Screens: Provision of 5 state-of-the-art touch screens to facilitate technical and pedagogical management.

Budget: The estimated amount is US$ 75,000.00, including VAT.

Delivery Time: Goods must be delivered within a maximum of 90 calendar days from the start order.

Qualification and Process Requirements
The tender is governed by the National Public Bidding (LPN) procedures established in IDB policies (GN-2349-15). Key requirements include:

Financial Capacity: Present an audited 2024 Balance Sheet and Income Statement, with a solvency ratio greater than 1.0.

Technical Capacity: Prove contracts or purchase orders for similar supplies made in the last five years, whose accumulated amount is equal to or greater than that of the bid submitted.

References: Submit two satisfactory references (rated from very good to excellent) from previous supplies.

Documentation: Include technical catalogues or brochures of the equipment offered in Spanish.

Presentation: Bids must be delivered physically to the Directorate of Public Procurement in San Salvador; Electronic submissions are not permitted. A Bid Maintenance Statement is required.
