Description
The Republic of Panama has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through loan agreements 5971/OC-PN; 5972/GN-PN; 5978/GN-PN and a donation GRT/GN-21446-PN, for the Comprehensive Project for Electromobility and Increasing the Resilience of Public Transport Infrastructure in Panama City. It is proposed to use part of these funds for the acquisition of a comprehensive electric mobility solution for the city's public transport system.
The prequalification process includes:
- Supply of fleet and charging equipment: minimum 53 state-of-the-art battery-powered electric buses and at least 17 DC fast chargers.
- Design, construction and installation of infrastructure: engineering studies and designs; provision of electrical substation (13.8 kV), networks and recharging equipment; civil works (pavements, foundations, enclosures, roofs, etc.); Installation and commissioning in accordance with current Panamanian regulations.
- Management systems and related services: charging monitoring and management system; after-sales maintenance services; technical training and training for MiBus staff.
Prequalification will be governed by the Policies for the Acquisition of Works and Goods financed by the IDB (GN-2349-15), and all eligible applicants defined in the Prequalification Request may participate.
